max

(function for equations)

 

Usage:

max (x1, x2, ... xn)

Definition:

xi s.t. (xi ⋝  xj) for all j

Required:

xi are unrestricted reals

Returns the maximum of x1, x2, … xn.

At least one argument must be passed.

If you just want the index of the maximum (i.e. its position in the list), use argmax.

Example:

max (-10, 6.6, 3.4, -126, 3.4)   returns 6.6
